These Terms govern your use of the Tarot by Hand website (the “Service”), operated by Guangzhou Yubao Trading Co., Ltd. (“we”, “us”). By using the Service you agree to these Terms.
1. What we offer
Tarot by Hand delivers AI-generated written interpretations of three classical reflective frameworks:
- Three-card tarot readings (free) — a written interpretation of three cards drawn at random from the Rider-Waite-Smith deck.
- Birth chart readings (free) — a long-form written reading based on your date, time and place of birth, using Western tropical astrology and the Placidus house system.
- Compatibility and year-ahead readings (free) — long-form readings based on one or two birth charts.
All current readings are free to use. We do not require an account, card, subscription, or recurring billing.
2. Nature of the content — important disclaimer
The content we deliver is framed and written as reflective practice and self-discovery material, comparable in tone to apps like Co-Star, The Pattern, and Sanctuary. It is intended as a journaling companion.
Our readings are not:
- Predictions of future events.
- Medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
- Legal advice.
- Financial or investment advice.
- Psychological counselling or therapy.
- A substitute for professional advice of any kind.
We make no guarantee about the accuracy of any interpretation or any outcome you may experience. You agree to use our content for personal reflection only, and to seek qualified professional advice for medical, legal, financial, mental health, or other regulated matters.
3. Eligibility
You must provide your own birth information, or information you are entitled to provide, lawfully.
4. Delivery
Readings are generated in real time and appear in your browser. We do not currently offer a paid checkout or email delivery.
5. Historical purchases and refunds
Readings are currently free, so no current purchase requires a refund. If you made a paid purchase before the free-service change, see our historical refund policy.
6. Intellectual property
The Rider-Waite-Smith deck imagery is in the public domain (US 1909, UK copyright expired 1985). All other site content — including the written readings generated for you — is yours to keep, screenshot, and share for personal use. You may not resell, redistribute, or pass off our content as your own commercial product.
The site design, code, brand, and AI prompt frameworks remain our intellectual property.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service to harass, defame, or harm any person.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the AI generation endpoints.
- Use the Service in a jurisdiction where it is unlawful.
8. Service availability and changes
We provide the Service on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us, if any, for the Service giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages.
10. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Guangzhou, China.
Buyers located in the European Union, United Kingdom, or other jurisdictions retain all statutory consumer rights under applicable local law; nothing in these Terms removes those rights.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the current version. Continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance.
